Hooks
N' Needles Support Group meets the 4th
Thursday every month at 1:00 to 3:00 PM in BCA-CV Office – breast
cancer survivors bring a craft project to work on and share
with others. No meeting in December due to the holiday.

ANGEL PROGRAM
Angels send cards/notes weekly to newly diagnosed breast cancer
survivors. Call the office for more information.
HOPELINE
A toll-free number with trained breast cancer survivors who
listen, support, encourage and provide information through
all stages of the disease.
MOVING FORWARD
Patients receive after surgery information in their surgeons
office from a BCA-CV staff person. Information includes exercises
and supplies to aid in recovery from breast cancer surgery.
BCA-CV
TO YOU WIGS, HATS, & TURBANS
BCA-CV has
FREE wigs, turbans, and hats for women during chemotherapy
treatment.
Also,
the BCA-CV Prosthesis Bank is offering FREE breast
prosthesis and bras to women with no health insurance
or in financial need in the tri-state area. Stop
in the BCA-CV office and we will help you select the items you
need.
The program
is open to all women without health insurance or without health
insurance coverage for these items. Selection is limited to
items supply in the office.
Donations
are gratefully accepted for wigs, hats and turbans. They may
be dropped off at the BCA-CV Office Monday through Friday.
DINNER'S
READY!
Gift cards for chemotherapy and radiation patients to provide a meal for their families after treatment.
CAMP HOPE
A day of fun, relaxation, education and friendship for survivors
offered several times a year.
Mammograms
BCA-CV offers individuals meeting the program guidelines listed
below the opportunity to receive a mammogram at no cost. If
after the mammogram the patient needs further follow-up testing,
BCA-CV will pay the expenses for one ultrasound per year.
Guidelines
are:
- A doctor's
order for the mammogram
- No health
insurance or health insurance with a deductible
of $100 or more that has not been met in the calendar year.
- Participant
must sign the waiver in order for BCA-CV to authorize payment
of the mammograms service.
** Special exceptions
will be made to the financial guidelines if there are extenuating
circumstances.

Door Educational Meetings
Hear about medical issues, nutrition, stress, and the emotional
challenges of dealing with breast cancer. Presentations are
followed by informal discussions. Check the calendar.
Lending Library
Ask about books, pamphlets and articles on early detection,
chemotherapy, radiation, and other breast cancer issues.

Published three time a year providing information on breast
cancer treatments, area programs and survivor stories.
